eBay has quietly rolled out PayPalShopping for the UK.
What is it?
Well, what you have here is a shopping.com shopping experience ONLY for merchants that take Paypal as their payment option. The end result is a paypal oriented buying experience. I suspect now that this is out the paypal.co.uk folks will heavily promote this. Not only does paypal send out regular promotional emails, but think of all the buyers going through there - that's a HUGE opportunity to push them back to other paypal merchants, thus increasing paypal's chance at becoming the world's online payment system.
Another VERY interesting implementation detail is that the sponsored listings bottom part of the page which is historically reserved for google adwords is replaced in this "version" with "featured listings from ebay.co.uk". I haven't done a comprehensive test, but I'm betting they all take paypal as well.
Here's a sample screen shot->
On the merchant side, this is pretty darn compelling - merchants get 50% off the normal shopping.com fee structure. I guess eBay figures they make the dough on the paypal side so can give a break on the CPC side - will be interesting to see how long that lasts though. They don't do this on eBay of course ;-)

Joe,
Fortunately ChannelAdvisor can help you manage your products on Shopping.com (as well as eBay). :-)
Give Scot a call.

This looks like a great opportunity and I may try it out. I am however not familiar with how to make a "list" of my products to upload to shopping.com. Can anyone give a any quick hints?
