Google base Buy-it-now guided tour.
Ok, I purchased from Gbase and recorded the whole thing so you can follow the transaction flow. Come with me on a guided tour of buying something on Google Base using your Google Account and your Google Puchases system:
1. The item with a BUY button on it (this is new).
2. Once you press the BUY button, you are taken to this screen. This is key - you see the seller's info, what your payment method will be (credit card today, ACH in the future I'm sure) and then the seller can specify different S+H options and there's a tax calc in there too.
The Place your order button takes you to...
3. The purchase history screen. That if you've followed along here is where you go with video purchases and google store as well. If you click on that purchase you get.
4. The receipt. this is cool because it gives you more details on your purchase. Here you can see two links:
5. One is "questions about this order" - on ebay we call this the Ask Seller a Question link. Here you can ask a queston about the order, cancel it, and a variety of other things.
6. The other link that's interesting back on step 4 is the "secure information" screen. I mention this because I get asked by many folks - why would consumers use google payments? Well the answer is security and this is a peek at the messaging google will roll out in a broader sense IMO.
I want to sell items. What is the next step?
