Europe Trip Reports this week - UK+DE.

This past week I was in the UK and Germany visiting our offices there and (more relevantly) meeting with top ebay.co.uk and ebay.de sellers.  Europe has grown to 77% the size of the US market ($17b/y) and is Ebay's second largest "region".  Within the region the top market by far is Germany ($8.5b), followed by the UK ($6.0b) and then France ($1b gmv/y), Italy ($580m) and Spain.  I wanted to share the experience with eBay Strategies blog readers and this week will publish several articles:

  1. The UK - riding the growth curve
  2. Germany - A slowing marketplace, but multichannel explosion
  3. Europe and eBay's upcoming Q2 results.  G-O-A-L!! or
  4. Skype - Hype?
  5. eBay Express Update
