Eric Shmidt: "We offered to include Paypal in Google Checkout"

My friend Andy Beal over at Marketing Pilgrim reports from SES about an Eric Schmidt interview.  One tasty tidbit:

"Asked what he thought about eBay banning Google Checkout, he said you'll have to ask eBay that question, but did say that they had offered to include PayPal as part of Google Checkout."

Hmmm, sounds like eBay gave them the:
1. No we don't want paypal in google checkout and
2. We are banning you from our marketplace too.
