eBay workshop today (2/26) on DSRs..
eBay invited us to host a Workship (kind of a long discussion thread on a specific topic) today at 4pm ET / 1pm PT. If you want to swing by and join in, the more the merrier. I've never done one of these before (and didn't even know they existed to be honest) so it should be interesting to see how it goes. As with most things eBay, I suspect they can get somewhat heated so there maybe some drama. Details are here.
Here's the blurb:
In early 2007, eBay introduced Feedback 2.0 and a key part of that was Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs). In 2008, eBay has said sellers will be advantaged and disadvantaged based on their DSR ratings so they are becoming increasingly important. Please join Scot Wingo, CEO of ChannelAdvisor for an hour covering some DSR FAQs and proven ways to improve your DSRs.
@Geoffrey - I'm sorry you didn't like the workshop. We spent a good bit of time researching what the top DSR sellers are doing to achieve high scores and boiled them into 10+ best practices for sellers to think about and discuss.
eBay invited us as a certified solution provider to do the workshop and part of the goal is to promote our solutions. I'm sorry that wasn't clear.
I'm sorry you didn't like our tone, but I think you are taking it out of context. For example, in post 164, the seller was saying they would never ever ask a buyer to leave them 5 stars. Our response was meant to show that seller that with the new system that rewards high-ranked sellers, it is quite possible they will be severely disadvantaged in search and economically by not receiving discounts so it's important to reconsider your business practices in light of those changes.
For proof on the boycott not working, I have a post coming shortly for you.
@shthar - thanks, we get a lot of comment spam so have them all approved before posting to keep the comments clean of spam. This can create a 2-3 day delay in comments getting posted.
@Authur - thank you for understanding the spirit of what we are trying to do here.
