eBay Live 08/09/10 - changes are a coming!
eBay announced today there will not be an eBay Live in 2009 (skipping a year), but that they are going to be in Orlando in 2010. I had speculated at ChannelAdvisor Catalyst this year that eBay might change the eBay Live format as it just doesn't seem to be the management team's style. It will be interesting to see how they retool this event from 08-10.
As for Chicago in 2008, I'm speaking on several topics and would love to meet any blog readers that happen to be there:
- DSR best practices
- eBay back office panel
- eBay selling software+solutions
I don't think they've published the times yet so I don't want to go out on a limb there, but they are spread throughout the program.
Of course we'll have a booth and all that good stuff as well.
Great Post! I come round often to check for updates. Keep up the good work!

Scott, you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned eBay changing the format due to the fact that the old format is not the new management's style. I just don't see John Donahue coming out on stage in a brightly colored polo shirt and khakis and rubbing elbows with "the community". In fact I'd be surprised to see JD out front at all at this venue in fear that he might be booed off the stage. If the format is changed from past years this will be very symbolic of the fact that the community aspect of eBay is dead. There is no "community" under the leadership of John Donahue, it's his way or the highway.

Alright! I really want to go to Florida in August! Woohoo!
That will be almost as much fun as July in New Orleans. Or July in Las Vegas.
When they plan these things do they throw all of the people with the ability to connect the calendar, the atlas, and the historical temperature record out of the room or what?
Wait, I don't go to these things anymore. Nevermind.
(and as a result of not going, I really miss hearing "Sooo..." at the beginning of sentences when I talk to people. Hardcore eBayers know exactly what I'm talking about. It's scary how much they all sound alike after a few sessions. Valley of the Dolls anyone?
